The three Jefferson County commissioners will continue discussion on a letter of support for an addition to the Dabob Bay Natural Area when they meet at 9 a.m. Monday.

The commissioners also will hear an update on COVID-19 from Dr. Allison Berry at 9:45 a.m.

Among items on the consent agenda are notice of a May 23 hearing at 10:30 a.m. on a Community Block Grant application in partnership with Trinity Methodist Church and an agreement for construction of the JUMP! project in H.J. Carroll Park in the amount of $756,385.

Commissioners plan two half-hour executive sessions beginning at 1:30 p.m., both to discuss potential litigation.

Clallam County commissioners

The three Clallam County commissioners will recess into an executive session to discuss a Emergency Operations Center property purchase at 11 a.m. Tuesday.

The Tuesday business meeting will begin at 10 a.m. A work session will precede the business meeting at 9 a.m. Monday.

The hybrid meeting will be conducted in Board of County Commissioners meeting room in the Clallam County Courthouse, 223 E. Fourth St., Port Angeles.

Commissioner Randy Johnson called the executive session to discuss a purchase with the sheriff’s office, human resources/risk management, prosecuting attorney’s office and public works department.

Commissioners also will conduct a public hearing on an ordinance to extend the cable television franchise held by Astound for 90 days at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Other agenda items include:

• An agreement with the Washington State University Small Business Development Center for $20,000 to advise small businesses for a term of three years.

• A resolution to establish a Broadband Infrastructure Capital Projects fund.

• A resolution closing a portion of Towne Road during phase 2 of the Lower Dungeness Floodplain Restoration project and the removal of the Dungeness River levee.

• A call for bids for phase 2 construction of the Lower Dungeness Floodplain Restoration project, removal of the Dungeness River levee and road realignment, the bids close at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 7.

The Sims Way Gateway and Boatyard Expansion Project Stakeholder Group will meet at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Port of Port Townsend

Port of Port Townsend commissioners will discuss 70-to-75-ton boatyard rates during a workshop meeting at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The commissioners will discuss the Quilcene meeting report during a regular session at 1 p.m.

Gardiner public meeting

There will be a public meeting to discuss issues in the Gardiner community at 6 p.m. Monday.

The meeting is in the Gardiner Community Center, 980 Old Gardiner Road, Sequim.

Jefferson County Commissioner Greg Brotherton, Sheriff Joe Noel, port director Eron Berg and port engineer Matt Klontz will be present to discuss designating the Gardiner Beach area as a no-shooting zone, improvements to the boat launch, criminal activity in the Gardiner area and review of the Gardiner community master plan.

There is no online access.

Port Townsend city

The Port Townsend City Council will discuss the general sewer plan when it meets at 6:30 p.m. Monday.

Jefferson Healthcare will host a series of community meetings to discuss plans for a proposed hospital expansion project.

There are virtual meetings at 1:30 p.m. Monday and Thursday next week.

There are three more virtual meetings scheduled this month; in-person meetings are planned for June, depending upon the prevalence of COVID-19 within the community.
