Crab Fest fun run registration open

PORT ANGELES — Now is the time to register for the 5K Crab Fest Fun Run/Walk, set for Saturday, Oct. 13.

The Dungeness Crab & Seafood Festival will be Oct. 13-14 in downtown Port Angeles.

Those who register for the run by Monday will pay only $20, a savings of $5 off the normal registration fee of $25.

Those who register after Monday will pay the full fee.

The event is sponsored by the Peninsula College women’s basketball team, and all proceeds support the team and student-athlete scholarships.

Those who register will receive a gift bag with a T-shirt and a $5 coupon toward the Community Crab Feed on Friday, Oct. 12.

The 5K is open to all ages and running styles.

The course will be out-and-back along the waterfront trail in downtown Port Angeles.

Prizes will be awarded in four separate divisions: younger-than-18 girls, younger-than-18 boys, adult female and adult male.

Registration payments can be made online at www.peninsulacollege.camp9.org or by mail.

Checks sent by mail should be written payable to Peninsula College Women’s Basketball and mailed to Peninsula College, Attn: Alison Crumb, 1502 E. Lauridsen Blvd., Port Angeles, WA 98362.
