BLYN — Law enforcement officers have seized more than 61 grams of suspected heroin, more than 8 grams of methamphetamine and more than $10,000 in cash during an arrest.
David Thomas Barney, 27, of Everett was taken into custody Sunday morning on warrants at the Sequim Deluxe Hotel in the unincorporated area near Blyn and was booked into Clallam County jail for investigation of possession of narcotics with intent to deliver, said Det. Sgt. John Keegan of Clallam County Sheriff’s Office.
“About one week ago, officers with the Port Angeles Police Department discovered evidence that [Barney] was selling heroin in Clallam County,” Keegan said.
The arrest was the result of an investigation by a team of officers from Port Angeles and Sequim police departments and Clallam County sheriff’s deputies, he said.
Marie Joan Haller, 25, of Port Angeles was also in Barney’s room and was taken into custody and booked into Clallam
County jail.
Haller had a felony bench warrant for her arrest.
Both arrests were peaceful, Keegan said.
Both were listed on the jail roster Monday afternoon.
