LETTER:Vote for Ken Hays

I served with Ken Hays on the Sequim City Council.

He served two terms for eight years and was mayor for four of them.

During his tenure, the lengthy process of building a city hall and police station was completed and is now known as our City Center.

The city achieved the high financial rating of AA-, unheard of for a city of our size.

Five-year plans were formulated.

Ken was very much hands-on with the planning and execution of celebrating Sequim’s Centennial.

I know him to be a good listener of his constituents, well read, innovative, and very conscious of our small-town identity.

Our students and workforce need reliable access to the internet.

There are too many dead spots, too many weak spots.

High speed internet is needed all over Clallam County and the Public Utility District can make that happen.

Ken Hays makes that a priority.

Ken has a vision for PUD to assert itself as serving a rural community.

He will work for PUD to bring in modern technologies to save money for us ratepayers.

He will work for PUD to become more open and transparent.

Ken is well qualified to become the next PUD Commissioner for District #1.

He has a proven record.

He gets things done.

Please, confidently cast your vote for Ken Hays.
