LETTER:Consider apartments

Apartments have been an affordable housing option between entering the workforce and establishing a nest egg.

They require little financial history and little upfront cost.

They concentrate infrastructure development to a local area minimizing development costs.

They do not disturb established neighborhoods.

Why are apartments not being considered as a solution to our current shortage of affordable housing?

If located near the commercial area where workers are needed, even transportation and parking issues would be simplified.

This option should be considered along with other affordable options.
