LETTER: Where were the town representatives in Sequim festival’s Grand Parade?

I have to agree with the May 17 letters writer [“Parade complaint”] about his comments regarding the May 13 Sequim Irrigation Festival Grand Parade.

But I also have another complaint.

I thought when you select a grand marshal, that means the grand marshal will lead the parade.

That is the reason a GM is selected.

Mr. Vern Fosket, the grand marshal, was No. 14 or 15 in the parade, something like that, and then the Grand Pioneers and Honorary Pioneers were after that.

All those folks were selected to represent our town and should be at the center of attention at the beginning of the parade, not in the middle.

Overall, it was a nice parade and we didn’t get wet.

Anna Smith,

Sequim
