Heartened to see Port Angeles citizenry warmly welcoming and expressing solidarity with Victorians arriving on the first Coho sailing.
Sometimes of late, I’ve found myself standing on shoreline along Victoria’s Dallas Road looking toward Port Angeles and sadly wondering, “Oh, say, can you see … ?”
Today’s gesture indicates that, indeed, many can and do still differentiate between E Pluribus Unum and the current E Unum Pluribus distortion being promoted by those who, alas, do not have my beloved neighbour’s continued unfolding democratic calling and legacy at heart — and that knowledge means a lot.
