This is a letter of recommendation for Beth Smithson who is running for the District 3 position on the Sequim Board of Education.
Smithson is a strong advocate for public schools.
She has two children enrolled in the district, runs a successful small business and has long-term connections to the Sequim area.
School board members need the skills to relate equally to the needs of students, staff, parents and administration.
She is an excellent listener who will research situations as needed and make informed decisions on behalf of the children and families in Sequim.
She will bring a new perspective to the board as the members address the current and future needs of our schools and our community.
