LETTER: Dave Neupert far and away the best candidate for Clallam Superior Court

His commitment to community and ideas for the court — modernization and a Veterans Court — make him the best choice.

I am voting for Dave Neupert for Clallam County Superior Court District 2.

For me, he is the only reasonable choice.

Dave wants to establish a much-needed Veterans Court in Clallam County.

The Veterans Court will provide therapeutic services while holding offenders accountable for their offenses.

The recidivism rate among veterans who completed this program in Buffalo, N.Y., in 2015 was very low — 5 percent, according to Courts Today magazine.

We can and must do better for those who have served us, and Dave is passionate about helping our veterans.

One of the ways Dave plans to move Superior Court forward is to modernize the court with better use of technology.

For example, he will work to set up electronic filing, which is more efficient and economical. Electronic filing provides better court access and allows the court clerk staff to work more efficiently.

Finally, Dave’s involvement in the community for over 25 years includes serving on the boards of Clallam County Habitat, Peninsula Behavioral Health and United Way, to name a few.

He understands the importance of community involvement and maintaining relationships with community leaders.

Dave has vast community support.

The Quileute Tribal Council and the Jamestown S’Klallam Tribal Council have endorsed him, as well as elected officials, law enforcement, community leaders and many individuals.

His honesty and integrity, vast knowledge of the law, trial experience, and commitment to equal justice for all makes Dave Neupert the best choice for Clallam County Superior Court judge.
