LETTER: Board decries I-976 while general manager gets a raise

In the Oct. 18 issue, the PDN reports the Clallam Transit Board crying over lack of adequate funding if I-976 passes and also reports about how that same board voted a pay raise for the general manager.

Now that folks, it what happens when government employees, meaning our employees, get too used to spending other people’s, meaning our, money.

Do they ever stop to think that if I-976 passes it might mean we, their employers, think they are not being good enough stewards with the resources entrusted to them?

Here is a novel idea for Clallam Transit: How about adjusting fares so that they cover the operating expenses, or find people who will.

Public transportation is not a right.
