LETTER: Any bureaucrats appointed by President Obama still serving in government should be fired forthwith

I have the opportunity of rebutting two letters simultaneously.

What a day.

In the first letter “Less than fool” [PDN, June 11] I note that like most writers who are in opposition to our president, this writer uses pejorative adjectives and silly names in lieu of reasoned argument.

The writer believes that the Paris climate accord would have saved our children from “an unbelievable hell” and the only survivors would be “the top 1 percent that owns our nation’s wealth.”

Winston Churchill’s observation, “the utter devotion of the liberals to sentiment apart from reality” fits this sermon from the Book of Hypocrisy to a tee.

The writer refuses to accept the likelihood that without fossil fuel most, if not all of us, would be dead within two weeks — and I would bet that he is at this moment enjoying some of the benefits derived from using fossil fuel.

Now to “Trump Terrifies” [PDN, June 11].

This writer hasn’t the slightest clue as to the truth of what he is talking about.

He is not in the White House.

His opinion is based on supposition, conjecture, innuendo and rumor.

Now my opinion: Any bureaucrats appointed by President Obama still serving in government should be fired forthwith.

That will plug most of the leaks.
