Jefferson County Home Builders Association to host Home Show

PORT TOWNSEND — The Jefferson County Home Builders Association will host its 2024 Home Show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

The annual building trade show is at Blue Heron Commons, 3939 San Juan Ave. in Port Townsend.

The show features more than 40 exhibitors form the construction industry as well as RVs, camper vans and Jefferson Public Utility District #1 with information on rebates, codes, broadband and safety.

Plant specialists will also be available to discuss composting, noxious weeds, edible gardens options and deer resistant plant choices.

There is also a full schedule of speakers including Bridget Gregg, Washington State University Jefferson County Extension; Andy Cochrane, Power Trip Energy; Sara Spalding, First Federal Bank; Jamie Maciejewski, Habitat for Humanity of East Jefferson County; Emma Bolin, Port Townsend’s director of planning and community development; Hans Frederickson, Frederickson Electric; Steve Moore, Camp N Car; Greg Ballard, Jefferson County Department of Community Development; Kevin Coker, Jefferson County Planning Commission; and a roundtable discussion on permitting in Jefferson County that features staff from both the Port Townsend and Jefferson County permit offices as well as local design professionals.
