Sequim man sentenced for heroin sales

PORT ANGELES — A Sequim man has been sentenced to 6½ years in prison for selling heroin to an Olympic Peninsula Narcotics Enforcement Team informant, OPNET announced.

Gabriel Thomas Oueilhe, also known as Gabriel T. Drum, 48, pleaded guilty Tuesday to three counts of delivery of heroin and one count of second-degree trafficking in stolen property, court papers said.

The drug sales occurred in October 2018 and June 2019, charging papers said.

The Olympic Peninsula Narcotics Enforcement Team (OPNET) said it purchased heroin three times and methamphetamine twice from Oueilhe during its investigation.

Oueilhe was not charged for the alleged methamphetamine sales.

Sgt. Tom Kuch, narcotics team supervisor, said the amount of heroin totaled 1.4 grams.

“All of these transactions occurred within 1,000 feet of a school or school bus stop,” Kuch said in a press release.

Clallam County Superior Court Judge Brian Coughenour imposed the 78-month sentence for Oueilhe on Tuesday as recommended by attorneys in a plea agreement.

Based on Oueilhe’s criminal history, the standard sentencing range was 60 months to 120 months.

“OPNET would like to remind you that if you choose to sell, deliver or share illegal drugs in Clallam County you are, or may soon become, an OPNET target for investigation, arrest and sentencing,” Kuch said.
