OMC board recognizes five employees

PORT ANGELES — Five Olympic Medical Center employees from the medical/surgical unit recently received recognition awards during a board meeting from Board President John Nutter and Chief Executive Officer Eric Lewis.

Beverly Buck, certified nurse assistant, and registered nurses Stacia Kiesser, Julie Millsap, Cynthia Beltrami and Katie Roszatycki were recognized for their work to improve processes in providing care to patients with psychiatric issues, according to a news release.

Within three months, the group discussed various challenges, suggested physical improvements to the treatment area, streamlined workflows and improved communication procedures, the release said.

“These employees are dedicated to creating a caring and safe environment for these patients,” said Robin Burse, RN, director, medical/surgical/pediatrics unit.
