CARLSBORG — Public Utility District #1 of Clallam County was recently designated as a Reliable Public Power Provider by the American Public Power Association.
The three-year designation recognizes the PUD’s proficiency in reliability, safety, workforce development and system improvement.
According to a press release, Clallam PUD is one of 275 public power utilities, out of more than 2,000 nationwide, to receive this designation.
“This is a great honor,” said Doug Nass, General Manager of Clallam PUD. “Our employees take a lot of pride in the work we do to power our community. It’s nice to be recognized as among the ‘best of the best’ on a national level.”
This is the third time that Clallam PUD has earned this designation.
