SEQUIM — The bear is back.

Peek-a-Boo Bear, a carving set to face into a window at Black Bear Diner, was returned to the restaurant at 1471 E. Washington St. on Wednesday.

The carving, which was valued at about $1,100, had disappeared March 8.

Sequim police received a tip that the 2-foot-tall wood carving was located less than 100 yards away from the business abandoned near a tree.

Officers continue to investigate the theft, they said.
