LETTER: Political sign theft

Several of my friends have told me that they have had campaign signs stolen from in front of their homes.

In the 24 years that I have lived in Clallam County and been an active supporter of political campaigns, this is the first time I have heard of this unlawful activity.

As a courtesy to those who are involved in stealing or damaging signs or may be tempted to, let me warn you that there is a state law that prohibits the act and carries a fine of up to $1,000.

Be aware: motion detection cameras may be watching.
