Kat Sample of Port Angeles washes down her horse, De, after an outing with members of the Peninsula chapter of the Back Country Horsemen of Washington on Saturday, June 27, 2020, on a portion of the Olympic Discovery Adventure Trail west of Port Angeles.
Sample said it was her group’s first ride of the season, a jaunt of 3 miles out and back along the trail.
