LETTER: Offended former tribal officer’s guilty plea

I find that Ernest Penn’s plea of guilty in a child rape is offensive.

He had a responsibility as a law enforcement officer to maintain the highest standards.

That does not include sex with a minor.

What about the women and young girls that he would be in contact with on the reservation?

Are we not concerned with their safety?
