Beach volleyball tourney in Port Angeles
PORT ANGELES — This weekend’s Jammin’ in the Park festival at the new Waterfront Park between Oak Street and Valley Creek will include a beach volleyball tournament.
Saturday’s tournament has a reverse coed format with four players per team, including up to two males. Teams may also have up to two substitutes.
The tournament will open with round-robin play in recreational and competitive divisions, followed by a seeded, single-elimination tournament for each division.
Three courts will be available for the games starting at 9 a.m.
The tournament is limited to 12 teams. Registration is $25 per person or $100 per team.

Hyppa hoops camp
PORT ANGELES — A few openings remain for the Chis Hyppa basketball skills camp Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 12-13, at Peninsula College.
The camp is open to boys and girls in grades five through 12.
The camp runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. that Saturday and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
Campers should bring a basketball and a small lunch.
