Port Townsend’s Ryan Clarke wins boys Class 1A state cross country championship [Updated]

PASCO — Port Townsend senior Ryan Clarke ran to a cross country state championship at Sun Willows Golf Course on Saturday.

Clarke ran the course in 15 minutes, 28.36 seconds, which is more than 9 seconds better than his first-reported unofficial time of 15:37.

Clarke’s time beat his previous personal best by more than 32 seconds.

Clarke, the reigning All-Peninsula Cross Country MVP, placed fifth at last year’s state championships.
