PORT TOWNSEND — The Northwind Reading Series will feature Janée Baugher and Midge Raymond at a reading at 7 p.m. today.
The reading in the Waterman & Katz Building, 701 Water St., is free and open to the public, although donations are accepted.
Baugher is the author of two poetry collections, The Body’s Physics and Coördinates of Yes.
She holds a Master of Fine Arts from Eastern Washington University, and her nonfiction, fiction and poetry have been published in Boulevard, Nano Fiction, Verse Daily and Portland Review, among others.
Raymond is the author of Forgetting English, which received the Spokane Prize for Short Fiction.
Her fiction and nonfiction have appeared in magazines and journals including TriQuarterly, Bellevue Literary Review, Witness, the Los Angeles Times and Poets & Writers.

Fall social slated
PORT ANGELES — Laurel Place Assisted Living will host a free fall social at 1133 E. Park Ave. from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. next Wednesday.
