SEQUIM — Karen Hainline and her small business, Karen’s Accounting Service Inc., recently was presented the Clallam County Health & Human Services Developmental Disabilities Business Leadership Advisory Committee Employer of the Quarter Award.

The Business Leadership Advisory Committee is a business-to-business network promoting the inclusion of people with developmental disabilities in the community and workforce.

An employee with a developmental disability works for Hainline by cleaning her office regularly and assisting with copying and opening mail during the tax season.

Presenting the award to Hainline was BLAC member Carrie Heaton, branch manager of the KeyBank branch in Sequim.

The presentation of the award took place Sept. 3 at Hainline’s place of business, 180 Gupster Road.
