PORT ANGELES — Volunteers are needed to remove weeds and trash from the banks of lower Peabody Creek on Monday.

The invitation to volunteers for the work party, set from 12:45 p.m. to 4 p.m., was issued by students in the cultural and natural resources class offered through the North Olympic Peninsula Skills Center in Port Angeles.

“We will be removing noxious weeds and trash,” said instructor Dan Lieberman.

Gloves, tools provided

Gloves and tools will be provided by Feiro Marine Life Center and North Olympic Salmon Coalition, he said.

Access to the lower Peabody Creek site is from behind the motorcycle shop on Peabody Street near Second Street.

Participants should look for the red Salmon Coalition signs.
