Clallam: Forum for candidates tonight

A two-hour forum will be held tonight for candidates in the primary election for Port of Port Angeles District 1 commissioner, Olympic Memorial Hospital District 3 Position 1 commissioner and Port Angeles City Council Position 2.
The candidates will talk about their positions on various issues and answer questions.
Tonight’s forum will be held from 7 to 9 in the City Council chambers at Port Angeles City Hall.
It is sponsored by the Port Angeles chamber, Port Angeles Business Association and Port Angeles Downtown Association/Main Street.
The primary election is Sept. 18, but mail-in ballots will be sent to registered voters in the appropriate voting districts on Wednesday.
The primary election in Clallam County is being conducted only by mail; there will be no voting at neighborhood polls.
