An interesting data point:
When my adult daughter moved to Hawaii after growing up in Vancouver, her first visit to the dentist drew the exclamation, “Wow, I can tell you didn’t grow up around here!”
Vancouver uses fluoride treatment in their water; Hawaii doesn’t.
