Thank you for the feel-good news about the many individuals involved in the rescue of the man trapped under his porch roof and the community support for the first responders.
It is certainly at opposite sides of the spectrum from what Fire Station No. 49 in San Francisco is experiencing (PDN, Feb. 12, page A3).
A local there has nothing better to do with their time than to file a complaint regarding the fire station having an adopted feral cat on the premises.
I wish the fire station good luck in trying to gather community support before the cat, Edna, is evicted.
