Sports: Port Angeles boys golf team sends two to state tourney

TACOMA — The Port Angeles High School boys golf team will be sending two members to the 4A state tournament May 28-29 at Canyon Lake Golf Course in Kennewick.

Junior Mike Rogers will be going to state for the second time. He placed sixth with a 145 at the two-day Narrows League Tournament held Friday and Saturday at Lake Spanaway Golf Course.

Sophomore David Mattie won a playoff to take the 14th and final spot, beating out Paul Harney of North Kitsap.
