SPORTS — Forks team takes coed softball classic

THE FORKS MERCHANTS captured the fourth annual Larson Brothers Coed Softball Classic tournament championship.

Forks beat The Hanger of Port Angeles 14-13 late Sunday (July 14) at Shane Park in Port Angeles with the winning run scored in the bottom of the seventh inning with two outs.

The Forks Merchants played seven games in two days to take the title.

Whitehead Auto Parts of Forks won the Sportsmanship Award.
