Two Port Angeles defenders also scored goals in the win.

Kildall, Jada Cargo and Catie Brown also notched assists on the night for Port Angeles.

“We were able to play a number of JV and swing players in the second half, work on some soccer basics and try out some new positions. Overall, a solid night for the Riders,” said coach Scott Moseley.

Boys Tennis Port Angeles 5, Kingston 1

PORT ANGELES — The Riders were tested but triumphed over the Buccaneers in a rain-shortened match Thursday.

Port Angeles won behind some solid singles play and some clutch doubles action, according to coach Brian Gundersen.

“Kingston came ready to play and we had some tense moments for sure,” Gundersen said.

He picked No. 2 doubles duo of Michael Soule and Seth Woods as his players of the match after their come-from-behind 2-6, 6-2, 6-3 match victory.

“Michael and Seth got in a hole early, but never panicked, and worked together to get themselves back into the match. I was really proud of their poise and teamwork as the match progressed,” said Gundersen.
