Sequim’s Ryan Tolberd is one the reasons for the Wolves’ success this season in boys soccer, and he saved one of his best performances of the year for Sequim’s playoff win over Orting.
Tolberd scored a hat trick in the Wolves’ 6-0 West Central District III 2A tournament win Saturday night as Sequim moves on the second round tonight against Highline.
Tolberd has been a star for the Wolves all year, using his speed up the wings to put defenders on their heels and creating countless scoring opportunities both for himself and his teammates.
Sequim has been red-hot (8-2-1 in the Wolves’ past 11 matches) since a midseason loss to the Roughriders and Tolberd has been in the middle of that turnaround.
