ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Landin Davis, Forks football

Forks’ Landin Davis had the game of his life Friday night in the Spartans’ 41-0 road win over Ilwaco.

Davis, part of the Tres Landons of the Spartans (Davis, Landen Olson and Landon Thomas) rushed 12 times for 72 yards on offense and scored three touchdowns. On defense, he added a fourth touchdown on a 55-yard “scoop and run” of a fumble. He had another fumble return that got called back on an inadvertent whistle.

Davis has been a big part of the Spartans’ 4-0 start all year, with 217 yards rushing in Forks’ past three games, while also giving his team big plays from his defensive end position.

Davis and his teammates have their biggest test of the season, going up against a powerful 3-1 Raymond/South Bend team on the road Friday night.
