AREA SPORTS BRIEFS: Salazar Paintings’ Flores nets a haul in Peninsula Soccer League action

PORT ANGELES — The first week of the Peninsula Soccer League started off with Rafael Flores scoring four goals for Salazar Painting in a 6-3 win over Pura Vida. Luis Galvan Jr. and Jesus Andres each added goals for Salazar, while Jordan Swift scored a pair for Pura Vida. Paul Vidmar also had a goal.

The Bandidos Football Club beat Ediz Hook 7-1 with six players scoring. Ron Welches, C.J. Daniels, Bill Koenig, Balyn Rose and Chris Lopes all scored, while Teo Johannes scored a pair. Oscar Gracey netted Ediz Hook’s goal.

High Energy Metals and Strait Slice tied at 4-4. Hector Orozco scored two goals for HEM, while Travis Priest and Melissa Nocis each scored a goal. Zach Grey had a pair of goals for Strait Slice, while Jimmy Quigley and Taryn Asmus each scored a goal.

Windermere beat the Wilder Football Club 2-1 with Derrick Schumalker scoring a pair of goals. Ben Stanley scored for Wilder.

The Forks Football Club shut out Meyer Electric 1-0.
