Youth soccer cleat swap Sunday in Sequim

PORT ANGELES — A seven-week Outdoor Emergency Care Certification Course offered by the Hurricane Ridge Ski Patrol will begin Sept. 18.

The course will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each Saturday. It is designed to prepare attendees to ace the certification test needed to work or volunteer as a ski patroller, cross country ski patroller or bike patroller this ski season.

Testing will be held Nov. 13 or 14.

The class location will be provided upon registration.

Soccer swap set

SEQUIM — A soccer gear swap planned Sunday will allow area youth soccer players to exchange old cleats for a pair of gently used cleats.

The Sequim Junior Soccer-organized gear swap is open to any area youth soccer player and will be held at the Albert Haller Playfields, 500 N. Blake Ave., from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Players do not need to bring old cleats to receive a gently used pair.
