1B FOOTBALL PLAYOFFS: Neah Bay game against Lummi scheduled for Saturday in Everett

Neah Bay’s 1B semifinal set for Saturday

Neah Bay’s 1B State Football Semifinal agaisnt rival Lummi will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at Everett Memorial Stadium in Everett.

The Red Devils (9-1), ranked No. 3 in the state, made to the State 1B game by beating Tacoma Baptist 66-26 Thursday night in the State 1B Quarterfinals. Meanwhile, Lummi (11-0), ranked No. 1, beat Naselle 56-16.

Sunnyside Christian and Odessa-Harrington are playing in the other semifinal Saturday. If the Red Devils win their Lummi game, they will play for the 1B State Championship Dec. 3 at the Tacoma Dome.

The Red Devils will be looking for a bit of revenge, as well, as Lummi knocked Neah Bay out of the postseason in the state semifinals last year in a close one, 26-20. Lummi also beat Neah Bay 36-30 back in September.
