PORT ANGELES — Contractor crews working for the state Department of Transportation will beginning setting up the work zone for a fish barrier removal project at Lees and Ennis creeks east of Port Angeles beginning Sunday.
Drivers will see overnight lane closures on U.S. Highway 101 from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. from Sunday evening through Friday morning between Del Guzzi Drive and Brook Avenue, according to a state Department of Transportation press release.
During the construction, drivers will see shifted lanes and a reduced speed limit of 25 mph, from 40 mph, between mileposts 249.8 and 250.8.
Two lanes of U.S. Highway 101 will remain open in each direction during daytime hours throughout construction, WSDOT said.
This work is weather-dependent and could be rescheduled.
