West End: County lifts burn ban

Clallam County officials are lifting the fire ban on the West End.

But burning restrictions remain in effect east of Lake Crescent and in eastern Jefferson County.

No burn ban has been ordered this year for western Jefferson County in the Queets and Clearwater areas.

Clallam County Fire Marshal Jerry Hight announced the lifting of the burn ban west of Fairholm — at the west end of Lake Crescent — on Friday.

“Everyone should still remain extremely attentive to the conditions for fire fuel on their properties,” Hight said.
