PORT TOWNSEND — Kirsten Smith stalked Rose Theatre owner Rocky Friedman.
She buttonholed him on street corners, harangued him at film showings and even enlisted his massage therapist in putting her one demand in front of him.
And finally the movie theater owner acquiesced to that demand: To show “Legally Blonde” on his silver screen.
The hit comedy starring Reese Witherspoon will be shown at the Rose on Friday.
And Smith will be there to answer questions from the audience.
The movie is currently showing at the Lincoln Theatre in downtown Port Angeles.
Smith, a 30-year-old former Port Ludlow resident and 1988 graduate of Chimacum High School, and collaborator Karen McCullah Lutz cowrote the movie, which came in No. 1 in box office receipts when it debuted three weeks ago.
