SEQUIM — The James Center for the Performing Arts in Carrie Blake Park will host the Sequim City Band at 3 p.m. Sunday.
The center is located at 563 N. Rhodefer Road, with parking available at Rhodefer Road to the east or Blake Road to the west.
The concert is free to the public.
The outdoor venue has limited seating, so organizers encourage attendees to bring chairs or blankets as well as refreshments.
Under the direction of Tyler Benedict, the band will pay special tribute to Frank Sinatra in honor of the crooner’s 100th birthday, which was Dec. 12, 2015.
The band will be joined by guest singer and announcer Amanda Bacon.
Among the standards to be performed are the 1958 hit “Volare,” Hoagy Carmichael’s “Stardust,” Rodgers and Hart’s “My Funny Valentine” and “Come Fly With Me.”
The band also will perform “Witchcraft,” “Mack the Knife,” “Love and Marriage,” “My Way” and “Theme from New York, New York” — all combined in a jazzy medley titled “Ol’ Blue Eyes.”
Another medley will be “Highlights from Guys and Dolls” by Frank Loesser.
