PORT TOWNSEND — Two Port Townsend residents were airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle after they were hurt in a three-car wreck on state Highway 19 on Friday.
The conditions of Andre Lauzon, 61, and Viva J. Tapper, 57, were not available Saturday from Harborview, which did not return calls requesting information.
Gayle E. McKenney, 82, of Everett was not injured in the wreck at 3 p.m. Friday, the State Patrol said.
McKenney was cited for speeding, it said.
The State Patrol gave this account:
The 1999 Ford Explorer driven by McKenney struck the rear bumper of the 1988 Jeep driven by Lauzon, traveling south, who had stopped to make a left turn onto Parkridge Drive.
Lauzon’s car spun into the northbound lane and struck the 2004 Honda Accord driven by Tapper, which was traveling north.
McKenney’s car rolled down a west side embankment.
The collision briefly slowed traffic.
