FORKS — Work crews will open temporary bypass lanes around two new fish passage improvement projects on U.S. Highway 101 near Ruby Beach this week.
The bypass at milepost 171.3 will open on Wednesday and another at milepost 169.5 will open on Thursday.
Both sites will have single-lane alternating traffic controlled by temporary traffic signals and a reduced speed limit of 25 mph.
The sites are north of Ruby Beach and south of the Hoh River.
Work crews will be replacing culverts beneath the highway to improve fish passage, the projects are expected to be completed by the fall.
