YOU KNOW YOUR Mom is awesome, but we want to know the details!

Our Mother’s Day Photo and Essay Contest is your opportunity to showcase your incredible Mom — and a chance to honor her with a prize!

Entering is easy! Go to http://ww2.peninsuladailynews.com/contests/mom2014.html, then click on PHOTO CONTEST.

You can also enter by going to cmg-northwest2.go-vip.net/peninsuladailynews and look for the multi-color “Mother’s Day’ button in the middle of the webpage (below “Hot Links” and just left of “Peninsula Poll.”)

Follow the instructions for registering, then post a photo of your mother and write a short essay on why she should win our contest.

The contest is free, but only residents of Clallam County or Jefferson County can enter photos and essays.

All entries must be submitted on the web — sorry, no entries by mail or in person.

The deadline for entries is this coming Thursday, May 1, at 11:59 a.m., after which the public in online voting will determine which three lucky ladies will receive prizes from our contest sponsors.

The first prize winner will receive a $25 gift card to LD’s Woodfire Grill and custom hanging basket from Angel Crest Garden.

Second prize winner will receive a $25 gift certificate to Shear Elegance provided by First Federal and a lovely lavender gift basket provided by Extendicare — the parent company of Sequim Health and Rehab and Crestwood Health and Rehab.

Our third prize winner will receive a $25 slot card at Elwha River Casino.

After you’ve entered your magnificent Mom, take a look at our Mother’s Day Discount Deals!
