PORT ANGELES — A Seattle man stabbed during a confrontation in Discovery Bay last week remained in critical condition Wednesday afternoon.
Paul Arcudi, 46, of Seattle remained on a ventilator Wednesday at Harrison Medical Center after he was stabbed in the back and chest last Friday at the WorldMark Discovery Bay Resort at 141 Orcas Drive in Discovery Bay.

Harrison spokeswoman Jacquie Goodwill.
Donovan Smart, 21, of Port Angeles is expected to be arraigned on a charge of second-degree attempted murder Friday in connection with the stabbing.
Smart was released Monday on $100,000 bail during a court hearing in which he was ordered to wear a monitoring anklet, said Jefferson County Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Chris Ashcraft.
Ashcraft said in a probable-cause document filed with the court that Smart admitted stabbing Arcudi with a knife he found on a kitchen counter in the resort condo.

According to the statement, Arcudi was stabbed once in the chest and multiple times in the upper back.
The statement described deputies’ accounts of the events of the night, which led from Port Angeles to Discovery Bay.
Arcudi and two companions were staying at resort and met Smart at R Bar in Port Angeles, authorities said.
Smart went back to the condominium with the three men, where witnesses said he attacked Arcudi, then was pepper-sprayed by Arcudi’s friends, the document said, adding that they called 9-1-1 and applied first aid to Arcudi.
