Sewing day for quilt program

CHIMACUM — Quilts of Valor will host its annual sew day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

The foundation is sewing in the Tri-Area Community Center, 10 West Valley Road.

A break planned for a potluck soup and salad lunch.

Attendees who bring a sewing machine will be able to join in the quilting.

North Olympic Peninsula Quilts of Valor has made and presented more than 600 quilts to war veterans in Clallam and Jefferson counties since its formation in 2015.

Free quilts may be requested for veterans at https://www.qovf.org/nominations-awards.
