Rayonier site, harbor cleanups update on Tuesday

PORT ANGELES — The state Department of Ecology will review updates on the Rayonier Mill and Western Port Angeles Harbor cleanups during a virtual meeting Tuesday.

The meeting will be from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. to join the This is a WebEx meeting, go to ecologyfeb921 The event password is Ecology1. Those interested also can call in at 1-415-655-0001; the access code/event number is 177 031 2340.

At 6 p.m., Ecology personnel will be available to help with technology concerns in joining the online meeting; they ask that people join online early.

The update will include information on the Rayonier Mill Responsiveness Summary, a summary of responses to comments on the Upland and Marine Data Summary Reports and the Cleanup Alternatives Evaluation Report (Volumes I, II, and III).

We will present updates on progress at Rayonier and give a brief update on the Western Port Angeles Harbor cleanup.

There will be time for questions after the presentation on progress on the 20-year-old Rayonier site cleanup and an update on the harbor cleanup.

No public comment period is open at this time.

When the presentation slides are available, they will be posted on the Ecology public input and event calendar.
