PORT ANGELES — After four months of searching and with less than a month before spring practices start, Port Angeles has finally hired a high school football coach.
Bret Curtis’ name is listed on the consent agenda for Thursday night’s Port Angeles School Board meeting to take over the Roughriders program.
Curtis served as Port Angeles’ girls basketball C team coach earlier this season.
He will replace Tom Wahl, who resigned after five seasons.
Also at tonight’s meeting, the school board is expected to approve the hiring of Rodger Johnson as the high school’s new boys cross country coach.
