This week’s schedule of free outdoor music on the North Olympic Peninsula:
■ PORT TOWNSEND — Today at 3 p.m., Port Townsend Summer Band (standards, Broadway and movie favorites and marches).
The band will play at Pope Marine Plaza on the downtown waterfront at Water and Monroe streets.
Bring lawn chairs, blankets, family and a picnic.
■ SEQUIM — Tuesday, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Sequim Karaoke Idol (a contest for nonprofessionals 13 and older, performing as a single or in a group, with three prizes of $100, $50 and $25) at the outdoor James Center amphitheater in the Sequim Water Reuse Park, 563 N. Rhodefer Road, just north of Carrie Blake Park.
Registration begins at 5:15 p.m. Tuesday evening.
The contest is limited to 20 performers.

This is the final concert in Sequim’s Music in the Park series.
Bring your own seating to the grassy expanse.
■ PORT ANGELES — Wednesday, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Sequimarimba (lively marimba music inspired by the Shona culture of Zimbabwe) at City Pier.
This is the next-to-last concert in this summer’s Port Angeles Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Concert on the Pier series.
City Pier is a no-smoking, no-skateboards, alcohol-free venue.
Some chairs are available for the disabled and early arrivals.
Next and final Concert on the Pier: SuperTrees (rock ‘n’ roll), Wednesday, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sept. 4.
■ PORT TOWNSEND — Thursday, 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., “Emerging Artists Night and DJ Dance Party,” dance music (rock and blues) by Daughters of Albion, The Cold Comfort and DJ Silace Amaro at the Pope Marine Plaza on the downtown waterfront, Water and Monroe streets.
This is the final concert in this summer’s Port Townsend Main Street Concerts on the Dock series.
Bring chairs or a blanket; some chairs are available in a wine, beer and cider garden. Seating opens at 4:30 p.m.
