A $500 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone responsible for the Feb. 24 fire that destroyed a police cruiser.

Port Townsend Police Chief Kristen Anderson-Post said Tuesday that the reward is being posted by an anonymous citizen.

People with information are being asked to contact Detective Mike Evans by calling 360-385-2322.

The fire occurred at Discovery Road and Rainier Street in the aged patrol car that had been parked as a speed deterrent. A papier-mache dummy, dubbed officer Bob Wire, was at the steering wheel.
