PORT HADLOCK — Where do people named Hadlock go on vacation?
They go to the town that bears their name, where they end up as guests of honor in a community parade.
“It was great, great fun,” said Steve Hadlock of Houston.
Hadlock, a deputy constable in Harris County, Texas, was looking for his name on an Internet search engine when he came across a reference to last weekend’s Hadlock Days in Port Hadlock.
Deciding to plan a family vacation around the community festival, he and his wife, Louella, a Houston banker, e-mailed — who else? — Hadlock Realty.
