BREMERTON — A Port Angeles motorcyclist was injured in a wreck in Kitsap County on Sunday afternoon.
Richard M. Nicolaysen, 46, was riding a black 2012 Yamaha motorcycle southbound on state Highway 3 about a half-mile north of Bremerton, near Chico Way, according to the State Patrol report.
Kaiki A. Luera, 21 of Stevenson Ranch, Calif., also southbound on Highway 3, was driving a gray 2009 Nissan 370Z in the adjacent lane.
Nicolaysen attempted to make a lane change when his left foot hit the right rear wheel of the Nissan and he lost control of his motorcycle.
He was taken by ambulance to Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton and was listed in stable condition Sunday afternoon, according to a hospital spokesman.
Nicolaysen was cited for unsafe lane changes, the State Patrol reported.
Luera was not injured.
